📄 Privacy Policy for the CustomPix App

Last updated: June 2026

CustomPix (“the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify store.

1. Personal Information We Collect

The App requests access only to the products and shop scopes in the Shopify Admin API. We do not request access to the customers or orders scopes, and we do not collect customer order data or customer personal information.

Within those scopes, we collect:

  • Store name and domain
  • Shopify store ID
  • Store owner’s email address (used for onboarding and support communication)
  • Product and product variant data, including images, prices, and compare-at prices
  • App-related settings and metafields

The store owner’s email address is the only personal information (relating to an identifiable natural person) that we collect. All other data listed above relates to your store and its product catalog, not to individual customers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and provide the App’s core functionality
  • Allow you to select and design custom images for your Meta product catalog
  • Generate and refresh your Meta product feed
  • Store catalog settings or preferences (e.g. metafields)
  • Communicate with you for onboarding, support, or important updates

Our legal basis for processing this data under the GDPR is the performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), i.e., providing the App’s functionality that you installed it for.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your data. We share information only with the following service providers, to the extent necessary to provide the App:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): our cloud hosting and infrastructure provider, used to store app data and run image processing
  • Resend: our email delivery provider, used to send onboarding and support emails
  • Meta (Facebook & Instagram): your product catalog feed, including the images and pricing data you configure in the App, is delivered to Meta Commerce Manager at your direction, to power your catalog ads

We may also disclose information where required to comply with legal obligations or to enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Data Retention

We retain your app-related data (catalog settings, metafields, store owner email, preferences) for as long as your store has the App installed.

If you uninstall the App, all associated App data, including the store owner’s email address held in our systems, will be deleted within 30 days. Some metafields may remain in your Shopify store and can be manually removed by you.

5. Your Rights

If you are a resident of the EU or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can do so by contacting us at [email protected].

6. Data Security

We take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to protect your data from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
